We don't usually post “viral videos” here, but this one offers such a powerful lesson in leadership, we just had to share it with you!
At the recent TED Conference – a super-meeting of great business minds, futurists, and trend-shapers – inspirational thinker Derek Sivers presented a video that tickled our ribs and provided a powerful lesson on how to take an idea from one “lone nut” to a massively-motivated group of followers!
In under three minutes, a shirtless guy dancing on a hillside is able to attract a huge group of merry revelers – just by doing what he's doing! By being a leader and doing something easily-duplicatable, this (literal) “mover and shaker” starts a phenomenon! Sound familiar at all?
The video and commentary are available on Derek Siver's personal Web site -- but you can watch it right here, as well. Make sure to turn up the volume on your computer, as Mr. Siver's commentary is what makes this video so powerful!
When was the last time you saw momentum peak? What advice can you share for becoming a great leader? Tell us in the comments!
